Golden Eagle Transfixed

I lived in turkey for four years and was introduced to raptor watching by my father on the Anatolian plateau, east of Ankara. I saw many golden eagles hunting and, later in life, I had an opportunity to spend time with a golden eagle from a rescue preserve in Virginia. I always attempt to capture subjects with a unique perspective, and in this case when the eagle transfixed on me. I wasn’t sure weather I was a topic of interest, or a possible lunch. I was honored to receive an award for this photo on the international site @viewbug.
