Female Mallard in Flight

Springtime is a wonderful time to photograph birds. This female mallard was being pursued by a male as I focused in on her flying across a nearby lake. Mallards are fairly common and not too difficult to photograph in flight. But they do move quickly and always seem to be smiling.
